Bareback Killers

I’ve had some adverse reactions to the two articles “To Condom or Not to Condom” and “Older Guys”, and the one basically calling me a bareback killer did grab my attention. I felt like Clint Eastwood without a saddle “Where’s that f**king magnum?” So I thought it would be useful to perhaps expand a little more on my thoughts and actions on this obviously contentious subject.

Now to speak personally I should make it clear that before my last visit to LOS, there was only one lady in the kingdom with whom I did not use a condom. I saw her every time I visited, and never went with another woman, not even in Farangland. Sadly a long term relationship wasn’t to be with her, so now when I return to LOS I look for another lady (only one mind you, I find one to suit and I stick to her)

I can also say categorically that I will never pass on HIV to another person on this earth. How can I say that? Well if you read my previous articles, then you will know that before having unprotected sex we both have tests (next time they will be even more extensive). So we know that no HIV antibodies show up on the test. We also know that we do not have any of the other STDs. If we test positive to any of them sex is definitely out. When I say sex is out, I mean all sex, condoms or no condoms, the lady is down the road.

But you will tell me that HIV antibodies don’t show up for three months after infection, so how do you know you won’t pass it on to anybody else? You could pick it up from the last lady you were with even though she tested negative at the time. Well again I’m speaking personally, and sadly when I’m in farangland I don’t have sex. (I explained why in “Older Guys”) I haven’t had sex in farangland for something over six years. During that time I have returned to LOS about every six months, and I intend to continue. Therefore, when I get tested the three month incubation period has expired. If I test clear I will know I am clear. If I test positive I will know who gave it to me the last Thai lady I was with and I will know I haven’t passed it on because I haven’t had sex in farangland.

As far as the ladies are concerned, I don’t feel I am doing them any harm, teaching them any bad practices, or being disrespectful in any way. After all they are far more experienced than I am in matters of the flesh. Despite all my expensive education I was seduced into enjoying prostitution in Thailand. Before I came I was determined not to indulge, but I succumbed to their superior skills pretty quickly. All the ladies I have been with (and since 1996 there have been only six) have been over 30 years old, and have all the knowledge they require to ply their trade. From now on I will be paying to get us both tested for HIV plus all the other STDs it is possible to test for. She will see my results also, so I do not think this is in any way persuading her that unprotected sex is acceptable. I think if all us farangs did the same thing we would be doing Thailand a great service.
Younger guys wouldn’t get tested of course because they would need to take tests nearly every day for different ladies, which is very unlikely. (But read my final paragraph)

And it was the last lady I was with that suggested we get tested and if OK, we could go without condoms. That was fantastic for me, bless her, but she knew what she was doing.

The final thing I should mention is risking pregnancy. This is the most difficult one for me to be categorical about, but I do try to ensure as best I can that said lady is taking a birth control pill. I remind them and watch them taking it, but it is something that does bother me. When I return to farangland they have my email address, and have been introduced to a Thai lady who is a friend of mine and is a tour guide in Thailand. She has my home address together with my email address. They have her telephone number also. If pregnancy does occur they will have no difficulty in contacting me and I will make sure the child is looked after, assuming the DNA tests show me to be the father. It may even persuade me to make the move to Thailand, which has been simmering away at the back of my mind for a while now. I would not plan to have another child, but I do love kids and it would be a delight to watch a child of mine growing up again. F**k me, what a train of thought! Whoa boy, don’t even go there!

I had hoped my “Condom” piece would be somewhat educational, and make older guys, like myself, enjoy themselves whilst doing all they could to stop the spread of all STDs, not only HIV. This is very important because apparently when weakened by another STD the body is more susceptible to contracting HIV. The further points I have mentioned, suggested by my critics, are also useful, and no doubt will help to crystallise our thoughts about actions in LOS.

Although some people obviously think guys like me are dangerous, give it some more thought. We are prepared to get tested before taking any minimal risk, and if all are like me, (and I hope after reading this the older guys will follow my example) the risk is only to ourselves. We are not as sexually active, and therefore not as likely to pass anything on. Also we are not as desperate for sex as young guys, who are willing to pay almost anything to get it the way they want it.

If you talk to the ladies they will all tell you about the young guys who plead with them to do it without a condom, and these are the very guys that are able to tempt the ladies to risk HIV and unwanted pregnancies. The young good looking virile young men who the ladies are attracted to, would like to fall in love with, and are hoping will take them away and give them a good life. One lady explained to me that she told one young fella he would have to pay 12,000 baht to do it unprotected because she would have to pay the doctor to “wash her pussy out”. I fell off the bed laughing, but in my opinion this is where the greatest risk lies. The ladies are not going to be tempted to have unprotected sex with us old guys without getting tested first, even if we did feel strongly enough to try to persuade them.

Those guys do not write about it of course, so you will not see it on Stick’s site.

So who is most dangerous? I rest my case.

Maybe I’m generalising a little too much here. I have added this paragraph after reading the piece by the young NZ guy (the one with the power, LOL) who kept a girl for 10 days, and obviously gave up on condoms. He should get himself checked out P.D.Q. otherwise he may be spreading something undesirable around Stick’s homeland. He says it was only four times unprotected. Well if he’s telling the truth, we all know it was the LAST four times don’t we guys? Because once you do without a condom with a particular lady there’s no going back, and human nature is such that we don’t start using them again. Perhaps it would be useful for the younger guys to take note of my “Condom” piece also.

Stickman says:

You make a pretty argument for something questionable. It is a flawed argument as there are all sorts of "ifs and buts" such as "what if the results came back as a false negative". Still, I would agree to the argument that it is possible to do naughty things in a somewhat controlled way.
