Aussie Moving to Thailand
iam not a novice to Thailand iam about to move to there – but iam a different type of bloke) even though i think my sordid & limited Thai education has most of them nutted out pretty well. I need to find out 8 or 10 things in respect to Thais the ways – before i commit to moving to their — i have a Thai girl iam 99% sure she is ok ( she is older at 39 this does make a difference ) iam pretty world savvy ive worked & lived in 42 countries in my life !!
But iam anti scam—-if they put one foot wrong to me or 1 lie ——–i won’t be staying you know) iam a total anti lie guy – everything to me from Thai partner must be similar as spoken by the Pope – or i aint going !
I have no forgiveness in me for any Asian speaks me a lie, because hey the truth costs not 1 baht ! so if the girl of mine speaks 1 lie she is out the gate – in this respect iam as hard as deck spikes – if they get away with speaking you 1 lie they will speak you 500 lies!
Iam not a bar person ! i hate that part of the culture ! not a drinker- not into football , golf the meathead sports iam a very quiet type – extremely quiet – most Professors are as this !
I do specialised work iam a Professor for the Government National Archives, i go to Thailand to get away from mongrel western ways of excess) iam not going there to ‘keep a family you know’’- if i team up Thai national i view the situation as purely doing her a favour – I want no grief I’m Australian, i live as Australian till day of death – whomever is my partner must view and live same, iam not going for the culture so to speak , ive no intention of reverting to any other culture, or speaking Thai !
I WILL BE LIVING ‘’NONG RUE’’ ABOUT 60K FROM KHON KAEN I DON’T KNOW WHAT IT’S LIKE THIER ! IAM TRYING TO FIND OUT))) YET TO NO AVAIL SO FAR ! I LIVED IN THAILAND WITH WORK 6 TIMES TOTAL OF 10 MONTHS THEN 4 MORE TIMES AS HOLIDAY FOR A FURTHUR 6 MONTHS ( ALL OVER A 7 YEAR PERIOD ) I HAVE TO BE HONEST I FOUND THE CULTURE VERY SCAMMY ! BUT WELL))) AS TOURIST EVERY BODY GETS TAKEN FOR DOLLARS WHENCE A NOVICE !
Can you advise me please any tips you may have!!! because whence living their i still must work on pc for Government i just got no time for Thai scams, money urchins etc – if that does come to me! i will lose my job and some of my work i do is classified – in my life there is just no room for scam !
I move to their purely because Australia it’s just to expensive to live now – and heaven forbid i hope i can work in peace devoid of Thai scams, at the same time iam trying to give a decent bird a chance! –do they respect this ?? or appreciate this ?-this is what i don’t know – i will not be an ATM for any person their – i need somebody to work with me in life you know – ————–not against me) – they cannot see me as oh darling you rich ferlang no) I don’t wear that you know – iam not there to marry to anybody nor – be a walking till for any persons family !
If you know Aussies they are happy to care for the bird and kids hers if have any, ( mine has no kids and very little family yet speaks perfect English that’s a bit of an alarm bell to me in Nong rue – speaking English ?? aint that out of the square )in respect that’s where my wallet shuts! if family has grief we didn’t make it that way! so unless life or death situation) then don’t come to me for dollars – ive worded up my girl to all these facts – strange as it may seem -! my girl is ok with all that !
Tried to get some advice from fellow Aussies living their but they are drunks and brain dead they could not even advise you where to buy a bus ticket ) and they are ALL of the view that every woman’’ bar none is scam’’ – which we know- is just not true ! so it’s no good me going to the Bogans’ for advice – they have just got no idea !

To the author, you seem to have a few sensitivities that make me think that you didn't learn much in the 42 countries you've lived and worked in….but then that was in your dreams, right? Seriously though, this just seems to be a disaster waiting to happen. You strike me as someone who is not suited to living in Thailand at all. Stay with what you know – you sound like you're much better suited to Australia than rural Isaan.
