In Focus, Bangkok Images first appeared on Stickmanbangkok.com on August 2, 2008. Photography, and digital photography specifically, has become very popular for even the most casual tourist and most travellers getting off a plane in Bangkok carry a digital camera, be it a common compact, to an advanced DSLR, to even a cell phone with still image capability.
Thailand is a fantastic destination for photographers of all types and skill levels. Landscapes, portraits, architectural, street photography, and just plain tourist snapshot opportunities are everywhere. This weekly will strive to bring readers a series of educational articles, up to date discussion of the latest photo gear, a weekly photo outing of the Bangkok or Thailand area, answer questions, and share readers' photographs and experiences with other readers. I hope you'll find it fun, interesting, and rewarding.
BKKSteve of Bangkok Images is the author of this weekly column and brings with him decades of experience as a photographer. He runs his own photography business in Bangkok that centers around photo services such as weddings, portraits, and assignments, and he also runs photography workshops to help you improve your skills either as part of a group receiving instruction, or through individual instruction. Instruction is scheduled for all levels of experience.
